Stratos Vision
Stratos is a shortening of the word, “stratosphere,” which is a level of the Earth’s atmosphere. This name describes exactly the level our team is committed to reaching in our quality, customer service and integrity. It’s the standard we want to set in our industry – no one goes higher!
For our team, the new company name Stratos largely means adopting new internal processes and participating in training sessions to help us better reach the “stratosphere” in the cleaning industry. Everyone on our Stratos team will be adopting new markers of growth that follow the environment of a galaxy, complete with planets, stars and solar systems!
The Stratos name change goes hand in hand with the new purpose statement for our company: “ServiceMaster by Stratos is a contract janitorial company that provides innovative cleaning solutions allowing our customers to focus on their business and not their facility.”
Our team has developed many visuals to help guide us along this path, with one of them being a rocket. All Stratos management, from leadership to our supervisors, will have a personal rocket that will serve to gauge growth. Our core values form the rocket’s three engines (Help People Develop, Grow Profitably and Excel with Customers) and our fourth core value, “Honor God in All We Do,” outlines the entire rocket. A rocket requires full fuel cells to launch every mission, and Stratos team members know how to build up fuel in order to launch internal growth.
Another visual we’ve developed is modeled after the different layers of the earth. In 1979, this company started by building a strong core of people – the inner core of our team members and the outer core of solid business partners. With the strength of that core, we have moved through layers of the mantle by developing our key processes and procedures and are poised to break through the crust of change! Following our vision to go above and beyond what we have accomplished, we will continue growing to reach the “stratosphere” and earn our new name, Stratos.
