stratosweb-0032-DSC_0208Turner Construction is a North American-based, international company that is known for its vast undertakings and complex projects. An organization that strives to make a difference for clients, employees and the community, it boasts a staff of 5,200 people who work on more than 1,500 projects annually. In 2015, the company was recognized as the largest general contractor in the country by the Engineering News-Record. Having so many employees gives Turner the opportunity to provide a local presence for its clients, so that they can enjoy accessibility at all times, while having the stability of a multi-national organization.

In 2009, Patrick Johnston, project manager for Turner’s Memphis market, was introduced to Stacy McCall through the Mid-South Minority Business Council Continuum. It was at that meeting that the Turner-ServiceMaster by Stratos partnership began and Stratos stepped up to the challenge of executing post-construction cleanup on Turner construction sites.

Since that introduction, Stratos has assisted Turner at three sites across the Mid-South, including a post-construction cleanup following the completion of the new Methodist Le Bonheur parking garage and office building. The latest additions to the children’s hospital campus included a three-story, 60,000-square-foot physician office building and a 750-space parking garage. In addition, Stratos service partners also handled the post construction cleanup of Methodist Olive Branch Hospital and Methodist University Hospital’s emergency room addition.

“During every job I’ve worked with Stratos on, they have been very well prepared and organized. They always have good supervision, ensuring that we’ll get their very best each and every day.”

When a construction company partners with a janitorial franchise like Stratos, a high level of trust between the two is imperative. With that in mind, Stratos has invested in its post-construction management team by providing the OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Industry Training Program. The 10-hour OSHA training program is also available to frontline staff who serve onsite at post-construction projects.

According to Patrick, the ServiceMaster by Stratos service partners always show up ready for action, with all the right tools and equipment to get the job done in a timely manner. The high level of trust that exists between the two ensures that the partnership between them will be long-lasting.
